Woodbury Council Approves Liquor Licenses, Road Assessments
The Woodbury City Council approved liquor licenses for two new restaurants and adopted special assessments for a major road rehabilitation project during its May 28 meeting.

The city received an additional $1.5 million state grant for the project, which includes mill and overlay work, trail construction and median replacement.

Samantha Wolf of Royal Oaks noted that chickens are already permitted in rural zoning districts and most neighboring communities allow them in residential areas. Nicole Mitchell emphasized that hens are quiet and provide benefits including pest control.

In closing remarks, Gidley praised Woodbury's form of representative democracy and thanked the community for the privilege of serving.
