The Edina Police and Fire Departments are jointly collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children and teens through the Toys for Tots holiday gift program. The initiative aims to provide gifts to families in need during the holiday season.

The Edina Police and Fire Departments have partnered to conduct a donation drive for Toys for Tots, a national charitable program that distributes holiday gifts to children in need. The campaign accepts new, unwrapped toys and gifts suitable for older children and teens at multiple convenient locations throughout the city.

Community members can drop off donations at the Edina Police Department, which serves as the primary collection site and is open 24 hours daily. Fire Station 1 and Fire Stations 2 through 5 are also accepting donations during their regular hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. This multi-location approach is designed to maximize community participation by offering flexible drop-off times.

According to officials, donations will be accepted through at least Tuesday, December 17th, though the collection period extends for several weeks to allow more residents to contribute. The program specifically seeks gifts for older children and teens, categories that often receive fewer donations in holiday toy drives.
