Drivers will have two detour options during the closure. A local detour directs traffic to Benton Avenue using frontage roads, while the signed detour routes drivers to Eden Avenue, then south on Highway 100 to the Highway 62 interchange, east on Highway 62, and back north on Highway 100 to Grrange Road or points north.
Milner emphasized the need for driver courtesy toward pedestrians and cyclists in the construction area. He said the city has observed drivers failing to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and roundabouts throughout the district.
