donation event in the small/south Donaldson parking lot on 8/1 from 9-12pm; Penn Fest
(volunteers needed)
b. Sustainability:
Rain barrels/tree sale recap, tree planting at Sheridan Hills, Summer Kick-off event at City Hall

## Call to Order
Danner called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm.
## Approval of Minutes/Agenda
Agenda: Boone motioned, Heinen seconded, approved by all.

None - Member of the public present, but had no comment
## Staff Reports
McCarty: Compost giveaway - south end of Donaldson Park. Compost Awareness Week display at Augsburg Library. Shred event &
electronics recycling event at ice arena.
Lindholm: Climate Action Plan approved by council last week. Have started promotion of CAP. Earth Day staff clean-up event at
Veterans Park successful. Community Earth Day events planned for this weekend. Twenty-four trees left from tree sale.
## Other Business
Update from Kueper: City no longer treating boulevard Ash trees and encouraging residents to treat their trees instead.
Transportation Commission Staff Presentation (Matt Hardegger): Presented on role of Transportation Commission, transportation
project funding sources, design process, and recent & upcoming projects.
Farmers Market Tabling Sign-up (Lindholm): Lindholm will create a sign-up for farmers market tabling, Farmers Market starts first
## Saturday in May
School Outreach (Heinen, Thompson): About 20 students from RHS Green Team will visit Heinen residence to share topics about
sustainable living practices.
Social Media and Project Documentation (Lindholm for Sookchain): Proposal for commissioners to take photos and provide summaries
of Sustainability Commission events for future promotions.

CSC report (Meyer): Budgets update for parks, playground updates, parks master plan in progress
