chair of the Planning Commission [0:45] I have just a few words about how to [0:47] participate in this meet in this [0:48] evening's [0:51] meeting [0:53] uh those who are online can attend the [0:57] meeting via Zoom the meeting ID is 887 4 [1:02] 9763 2357 and the passcode is 07 [1:07] 0166 members of the public may also [1:09] attend this Planning Commission in [1:11] person or uh watch on TV on Channel 8 [1:15] WCTV or and on the city's website [1:17] ata.org [1:26] WCTV do I need to keep sorry [1:30] public comment during the public forum [1:32] and or public hearing portions of the [1:33] meeting may be provided in person at the [1:35] meeting in advance or by logging onto [1:37] the zoom call and raising your hand [1:39] during the public hearing when your name [1:40] is called in the meeting you may be seen [1:42] and heard in our council chambers and on [1:44] the CH and on the cable channel you'll [1:46] be asked to unmute and then you may [1:48] begin your comment preservation board earlier and worked [3:21] with Val and uh I'm excited to do some [3:24] work with the Planning [3:25] Commission cool thank you [3:32] next on the agenda is the approval of [3:34] activities [5:03] staff uh thank you chair and Planning [5:05] Commission um at our next Planning [5:08] Commission meeting we will be reviewing [5:10] the Ferndale Bluffs um subdivision as uh [5:16] changed slightly since the last time [5:17] that's been reviewed um the roadway [5:21] variance has been removed and the um [5:24] it's now three [5:26] lots in March we're not sure which [5:28] meeting in March we have uh 200 Lake [5:31] Street with their re the old TCF sites [5:35] uh so that will be coming up and then um [5:39] you have been seeing some emails about [5:41] the kishes uh the former Caribou Coffee [5:45] site and U that will uh not start for a [5:49] couple weeks yet but uh you know we're [5:52] definitely getting inquiries and and [5:54] information about that so any questions [5:56] regarding development have there been [5:59] any businesses that have inquired about [6:01] the space or contracted for the space [6:04] it's not going to be a Careo anymore I'm [6:06] sure uh my understanding is that the [6:09] upper story is uh office space and I [6:11] don't know whether they're making that [6:12] tenant public yet uh but that they'll [6:14] span between uh the new structure and [6:16] then come into the old structure a [6:17] little bit as well on that second floor [6:19] I think they may also take up some first [6:21] floor space and then I know that there [6:22] will be uh some additional room on the [6:24] first floor St space I'm not sure if [6:26] that'll end up being retail or maybe [6:28] some sort of small [6:30] take away food use or something along [6:31] those lines but we'll know more soon [6:33] okay thank [6:35] you uh you mentioned uh Ferndale Bluff [6:38] I'm sorry I'm not I don't know what that [6:40] is if you could just give me a little [6:42] idea of of where that is yeah happy to [6:46] commissioner uh so if you're heading out [6:48] on fale Road West out towards Orono just [6:50] before you get to the Border there's a [6:52] uh it's about a 12 Acre Site only a [6:54] small portion of which touches uh [6:56] Ferndale Road West but it's on the North [6:58] side uh they previously came to us uh [7:01] about at Le I think a year ago uh with a [7:04] proposal to uh put in a public Street [7:07] and a four lot subdivision that proposal [7:10] uh was recommended for denial by the [7:12] Planning Commission and then they didn't [7:13] continue on to city council they [7:15] withdrew since then they've been working [7:17] on refining their proposal and they're [7:19] back again with a complete application [7:21] with uh three lots and a shorter public [7:23] street so we'll have that discussion [7:25] again at our next meeting which is on [7:26] February 24th thank you [7:32] thank you anything [7:36]
