[3:41] welcome to the June 2nd planning commission meeting if all commissioners will please mute your microphone until
[3:47] it is your turn to speak that would be appreciated members of the public may join using a PC Mac
[3:54] echo or iPad come out that should iPhone or Android
[4:01] device members of the public can access the meeting online at the city's website and public uh can pardon me and public
[4:08] can ask questions and comments during the meeting by using the link to the virtual meeting to join and submitting
[4:14] the questions via the online question and answer feature within the meeting question regarding this meeting can also
[4:21] be asked during regular business hours at city hall if you are a member of the public and wish to speak on a topic
[4:28] please fill out one of the yellow forms at the back of the chambers and provide that sheet to staff you will be called
[4:33] on after the project in reference is presented residents viewing online please add your questions to the Q&A

[5:11] right thank you very much um the first item on our agenda this evening is the
[5:17] Woodbury Leadership Academy and we have Eric with that one thank you Chair
[5:23] woodbury Leadership Academy has submitted an application for a conditional use permit to expand the
[5:28] existing school use uh located off to the south side of Hudson Road the
[5:34] expanded use would offer grades 9 through 12 uh within an existing building located at 8147 Globe Drive the
[5:43] property is zone B1 Office Park District and and is guided as places to work on the land use
[5:48] plan little bit of background uh at their March uh 2006 meeting the council
[5:54] approved the Minnesota School of Business/Gold Globe University project
[6:01] the initial approvals included a three-story just shy of 70,000 square
[6:07] foot structure that was the corporate headquarters for the Minnesota School of Business and Globe College and it also
[6:13] had post-secary education uses within that structure the college and corporate
[6:18] headquarters was in operation from 2007 to the spring of
[6:23] 2017 in 2018 the council approved the conversion to the school facility for
[6:30] leadership academy at that time they reviewed and approved the use of the building the access the lighting the
[6:37] parking and future concepts for that site in 2021 a building addition including a multi-purpose gym for the
[6:44] school physical education support systems a stage and also additional classrooms were were approved the
[6:51] proposed site uh for this application again is the 8147 Globe Drive which is shown in with
